  6. THE NEXT 10 MONTHS 1. Unveil the play-no awards, but somewhat plausible… “It was a dark and stormy night” 2. Refine the goals for the actors 3. Assure the set is built 4. Confirm opening night is set 5. Hire plenty of stagehands

  7. IT’S ALMOST SHOWTIME • Do we really need a water feature for the set? • We have a reporter in the midst • Did anyone remember the audience and the cue cards? • If we end up on the 11:00 news, will anyone sXll have a job? • Does everyone know their lines?

  8. ONE WEEK TO GO • Make sure your props (intercom) are working • Do we have enough seats for the audience (safe rooms) • “The play's the thing wherein I'll catch the conscience of the king” • Is the marquee working?

  9. RAISE THE CURTAIN • Cast is here and ready to go • Opening night jiJers • We didn’t plan for a soliloquy right there • The criXcs speak

  10. WHAT DID WE LEARN? • You can’t plan too much • Safety is job one • Surround yourself with people smarter than you • Your plans and policies are not good if no one knows them • Your plans are no good if the components aren’t workable
