Region II Working Targets as presented in the UIA Bordeaux Bureau meeting • to increase the influence of UIA in Region II for the best of the organisation and the RII National Sections. • good knowledge of National section’s profile and of RII specialities • to increase participation in UIA Commissions and WP • to face the complexity of the Region II through the advantage of multicultural character of the Region
First Actions • Collaboration with Council members RII in order to establish region’s representation to UIA Working Bodies • Collaboration with ACE according the existing UIA-ACE MoU • Participation to architectural events of UIA RII National Sections (Congress of Union of Architects of Russia 21-22/10/08, Belarusian Union of Architects’ events, CAT Symposium on Architecture and Tourism in Antalya the 1st of November), ACE General Assembly • The Creation of a database on the profile of Region II in the UIA Working Programmes, in order to increase participation in the Region II • Other regional organizations in Region II • UIA Bureau-Council meeting in Region II
Implementation of UIA-ACE MoU ACE officer participates at the UIA Professional Practice Commission annual meetings President of ACE Juhani Katainen was present at Region II Presidents’ meeting in Istanbul on February 2008 President of ACE Juhani Katainen is invited to the Region II Presidents’ Meeting from 5 to 8 of March 2009 in Budapest Very important: Common documents on education and practice
