  2. The Huber Heights Athletic Foundation is a non- profit organization dedicated to the improvement of athletics and other activities in the Huber Heights City Schools and in the community in general. The name of this corporation shall be the Huber Heights Athletic Foundation. This organization was incorporated under the laws of the state of Ohio, March 13 th , 1985.

  3. The Hart Family Scholarship Award was started by Ed Hart  who was a leader in the City of Huber Heights as well as in the Huber Heights School district. Ed was the founder of the Huber Heights Athletic Foundation. He provided leadership and funding for many of the improvements and activities enjoyed by students in our schools today. Because of that leadership, the Huber Heights Athletic Foundation decided to establish a scholarship program in his honor in 1995. Ed passed away in J anuary of 2005, and his legacy still lives on through this scholarship. The Hart Family Scholarship Award is awarded to a female  athlete and male athlete from Wayne High School. These athletes not only excel in sports and academics, but also take on an active role within the community. The recipients each receive an $8,000.00 scholarship to be disbursed over the course of 4 years.

  4.  HHAF grants are made for charitable purposes that primarily benefit scholastic and athletic projects in the Huber Heights Public Schools System. The HHAF awards grants in the areas of scholastic excellence, remedial academic enhancements, athletic participation, athletic facility upgrades and extraordinary athletic competitions.  Additionally, the HHAF may award grants to Huber Heights community and civic organizations when it is deemed to be in the best interest of service to the overall community and substantially support the further economic, societal, scholastic, and athletic development of Huber Heights

Field Trips - Wayne disability students $ 1,600  Math Curriculum for Special Ed. $ 1,980  Rotary Club Golf Scramble: $ 100  Ohio Thespian Conference $ 5,000  DOGS (Dads Of Gifted Students) $ 500  Tools to Improve Reading Literacy $ 2,500  Wayne band: Tuba Purchase: $ 5,477.00  Huber Heights City Schools Athletics: $ 25,000.00 , plus: one  Fish Fry which could range from $8,000.00 to $10,000.00, plus: 5 Bingo sessions that could total up to $15,000.00 Total: up to $50,000 (led to a decrease in projected participation fees). Special Learners Unique Learning System- ongoing support  Huber Heights Soccer: $ 150  Spiritparooza (Cheerleading Camp): $ 50  Salvation Army- Sponsor 4 (H.H.) kids for Day camp $600 

  6.  Track request: transportation cost to get to South Carolina in April- $5,703.05  Salvation Army- $100.00  Rand McNally World Geography Atlas: $350  Power to the Pen Competition: $800  Muse Machine Four Plays: $1,050  Musical Rights and License: $550  Bowling Bags Logo and Stitching: $1,361  STEM Day in the Park: $1,000.00

  7.  The Huber Heights Athletic Foundation hosts a number of events throughout the year.

  8. Cookies with Santa was originally started in 2003 by  the Wayne Boosters. The Huber Heights Athletic Foundation has since continued this tradition year after year. It is made possible each year by not only the foundation but the generous donations provided by the community and the support of local businesses. Every year Santa makes a special trip with Mrs. Claus  and the elves to see all the children. Beloved activities on this special night include face painting, cotton candy, popcorn, and lots of games and prizes! Children also enjoy making ornaments and different holiday crafts. Before you leave Cookies with Santa, be sure to get your cookie and milk or juice. Best of all, you can enjoy seeing Santa and doing the different activities at no cost!

  9.  There are several Fish Fries throughout the year hosted by the Athletic Foundation and other organizations. Fish Fries are generally held on Fridays or Saturdays from 6:00 pm till 11:00 pm.  The Foundation sponsored Fish Fry solely benefits and funds the Hart Family Scholarship Awards that are granted annually to one male and one female scholar athlete from Wayne High School ($2,000 per year, per student selected, for four years= $8,000.00).

  10.  The Huber Heights Athletic Foundation's major fund raising activity is Bingo.  We have Bingo sessions every weekend on Saturday and Sunday excluding Holidays or major events including Inclement Weather Closings.  The facility is open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on each day with normal bingo session starting at 1:00 p.m.

  11. The Huber Heights Athletic Foundation owns and  maintains a facility located at 5367 Fishburg Rd located in the City of Huber Heights. The facility is a 25,000 sq/ ft. facility with many accommodations. The main feature of the facility is the large banquet style area that can accommodate up to 1000 people and is 14,000 sq/ ft. The occupancy level is dependent on type of event and table/ event setup. The facility houses an office area where the daytime office manager conducts daily clerical duties. There is a full service kitchen and serving area along with beverage vending machines. The building has a conference room for smaller group and event usage. Please contact the HHAF for more information and to  schedule a tour and book your event.

  12.  IF YOU WISH TO VOLUNTEER FOR BINGO, PLEASE STOP BY THE HHAF AND SIGN UP IN THE VOLUNTEER BOOK LOCATED IN THE BREAK ROOM.  The sign up book will be available beginning the 1st Saturday of December, March, J une, and September to sign up for the next 3 months.

  13.  Servers, floor walkers and bankers  Counters and callers  Cooks and cashiers  Volunteers receive a voucher for their service that can be applied towards ANY non-profit organization (501 C-3) of their choosing as well as towards their school (K-12 and State/Community College (as long as it is not a “for profit school”), athletic, and extracurricular/club fees accrued.
