Additional discussion with regard to emerging technological advances in the manufacturing process will be covered. C.V. - Brief: Paul is currently the Production Manager at the MillerCoors Rocky Mountain Metal Container End Plant ,which is the single supplier of the 204 end for the MillerCoors supply chain, responsible for all aspects of manufacturing, material purchasing, production scheduling & logistics, supplier quality and operations engineering. Prior to this appointment, Paul spent 8 years at General Motors Corporation in a variety of different positions IE Transportation, Logistics, Material Management, Quality and Manufacturing. Abstract: The first part of the presentation will take the audience on a virtual tour of the brewing facilities at UC Davis and talk about the presenters Masters Thesis work with beer and silicon and why it is such an important aspect of beer in regards to nutrition. The last part of the presentation will describe the development of the AC Golden Brewing Company and its first beer, Herman Joseph's Private Reserve. C.V. - Brief: Troy Casey received his B.A. degree in chemistry from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. While in Colorado, he worked with Bristol Brewing Company as a brewing apprentice and at Coors Brewing Company as an intern in the Brewing Department and in the quality assurance labs. In 2006, he began working on his M.S. degree in food science at the University of California at Davis, where he was able to work with Anheuser-Busch as a brewing group manager. He now works for MillerCoors as a pilot brewer in Golden, Colorado. Box 4845, 100 Little Dam Street Dillon, Colorado 80435 Phone: (970) 262-7777; Mb: 970-389-1937; E-mail: damluhr@hotmail.com Title: Dillon Dam Brewery Abstract: The Dillon DAM Brewery was established in 1997 under the leadership of owner/partners George Blincoe and Michael Reed. The brewery features a 15 BBl. Mashtun and Kettle along with 5 30 BBl. Fermenters and 6 30 BBl. Serving Tanks from JV Northwest. The Brewery also uses a Spadoni Mechanica D.E. Filter and a 4 Head Meheen Bottler. The Bar features 8-10 Beers on tap from a repertoire of over 20 seasonal ales and lagers. Matt Luhr will give a brief overview of the brewery history and beer selection as well as a tour of the facilities. C.V. - Brief: Matthew (Matt) J. Luhr received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University Of Illinois in Agriculture in 1986. It was at this time his love of home brewing began. After moving to Colorado permanently the following year Matt became involved in the restaurant industry. The ultimate combination of Matt’s two passions (Beer and Food) came with the opening of the Dillon DAM Brewery in the spring of 1997.
