Your independent health & care champion
Our Vision We exist to ensure that people are at the heart of care. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers listen to what people like about local health & care services, and what could be improved. These views are then shared with decision-makers, so together we can make a real difference. People can also speak to us to find information about health and social care services available locally. For better health and care in Dorset which is shaped by the voices of local people.
What We Do Engage with local people about health and care services and promoting their involvement in all areas. Provide an information and signposting service for local people so that they can make choices about health and social care services. Monitor the quality of health and care services. Use the voice of local people to influence commissioners and providers. Alert local commissioners & providers, Healthwatch England and the Care Quality Commission to concerns about services.
