Task 4.1 MDE models for robust autonomy Markus has been working on robust Finite State Machine models / coordination models for robotics systems (see presentation Stresa) On the practical side this involves integration of a new scripting language into the Orocos Real Time Toolkit. Release (RTT-2.0) targeted for end of year. Next, Markus will return to examine existing modeling standards like AADL, SysML+Marte for their applicability for describing robotic systems especially with respect to the BRICS component model. Ongoing suggestions by all WP4 members to BRICS component model WP4 Status
Task 4.2 Integrating BRICS best practices in Eclipse evaluating possible coorperation with other Projects (e.g. SmartSoft) Programming will begin as soon as Hugo starts (end of 2009). Task is slightly delayed due to difficulties in hiring an Eclipse developer The main work however depends on definition of the BRICS component model WP4 Status
Task 4.3 Integration of “legacy” CAE tools in tool chain Starting next year WP4 Status
Workshops On MDE Toolchain, Leuven, 09.07.2009 with guest Christian Schlegel, University of Applied Sciences Ulm redesigning the IPA CareOBot architecture as a component based system (7-8. September, 2009). A three day hands-on follow-up Workshop for the IPA CareOBot redesign is planned. WP4 Status
