So what is Work Connect? 3
Work Connect • Work Connect teaches how to look for jobs and working in New Zealand workplaces • Focus on more than skills and qualifications by understanding the person better. • Understanding cultural practices around approaching employers and in the workplace. 4
Who fits the criteria? Four client groups: 1. Skilled principal migrants (permanent and temporary residents) who are not in employment and who are underemployed. 2. Partners and the adult children of skilled principal migrants. Graduate international students on a Post Study Work 3. visa (or in the process of applying for the visa) who hold a level 7 or above qualification 4. Others (e.g. Australians, Entertainer visas, Silver Fern visa etc.) 5
Tailored and flexible programme Post-programme support is provided on completion of the programme as required. 6
