  3. Cole Harbour Cares : We have been asked to consider sponsoring another Syrian family of five. A meeting to discuss this request and whether or not it is feasible will be held on Monday, February 10 , 7pm at Cole Harbour Woodside United Church, Bissett Road. All are welcome to attend. For more information, contact Brenda Tucker, 902-462-7006. Mothers’ Union Valentine Bake Sale : Will take place on Sunday February 9 at both the 8:30 and 10:30 services. Treat your Valentine with a purchase from our annual Bake Sale. You’ll dis cover cakes, pies, desserts, muffins, squares, cookies and more. Plan to bring your own bag and fill it! Come one, come all and thank you for supporting this Mothers’ Union fundraiser. Mothers’ Union Meeting: Our next meeting will be on Sunday afternoon February 9 from 12:30 to 3:00 at the home of Barb Kent, 5 Wildwood Blvd. We will enjoy a brunch and learn paper embroidery, each making a card ($5.00 for supplies). UPCOMING EVENTS - at the Church of Saint Andrew Pancake Supper Looking forward to a great opportunity for fellowship and nourishment? Please attend our Pancake Supper on Shrove Tuesday, February 25 th from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm. The supper consists of pancakes & sausages and homemade cookies for dessert. Coffee/tea will be served with juice packs for children. Please come and bring your family and friends. All are welcome. Stay afterwards and share a time of fellowship after the supper. Cost: A Free Will Offering. Save the Date, Sunday, February 23 rd : Along with the help of the Sunday School children, there will be warm baked pretzels available at both the 8:30am and 10:30 am services (free will offering would be greatly appreciated). The word pretzel accords with the widespread tradition that a monk living in France or northern Italy invented the knotted shape of a pretzel in order to symbolize arms folded in prayer.
