What is the Purpose of the Committee To provide a coordinated opportunity for communities to gain access to public financing to meet their infrastructure needs. And, to ensure that public financing is used for efficient and environmentally safe systems that will help sustain Missouri communities.
Why do I have to go through the MWWRC? • Combines efforts of three public infrastructure financing agencies • Ensures equitable use of grant and loan funds • Assures sustainable systems
How does the process work? • Community submits a two-page proposal plus a preliminary engineering report (with 5 copies, for a total of 6) • Committee usually meets once per month • Proposals received after the first of the month are placed on the agenda for the following month • Committee provides a response letter (and/or invitation to apply, if applicable) • Letters address the proposed finance package, design strategy, beneficiaries, and need for the project
