Energy Storage Systems (ESS) ESS provide two benefits: 1. Backup Power during a utility outage for 3-4 small circuits (15-20 Amps ea.) 2. Energy Arbitrage to strategically use solar power in conjunction with Time-Of-Use rates ESS can be combined with a new solar installation or can be retrofitted to an existing solar system.
