‘Grace Giving’ is not… 2. Based on Feelings. 3. Usually less than the requirement of the Law. “ But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.” 1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV Bible

‘Grace Giving’ is based on… 3. Inner motivation, not outward compulsion. “ For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, 4 they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints. 5 And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us in keeping with God's will.” 2 Corinthians 8:3-5 NIV Bible “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7 NIV Bible

‘Grace Giving’ is based on… 5. How much God has prospered you. “Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny. 43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything — all she had to live on." Mark 12:41-44 NIV Bible
