Bullying/Cyberbullying/Fighting Policy Bullying through the use of technology is absolutely • Parent Orientation prohibited at DPHM Zero Tolerance (even for bystanders/instigators) • Future Impact – college admissions and employment • and promotion in doubt for the next grade (interrupted instruction)

Building Respectful Citizen Scholars • New Policy Initiative 2017: Scholars need to have accountable conversations or opportunities to correct either in the moment or after disrespect has taken place (publicly or privately). • Disrespect is addressed by deduction and scholars prompted to fix. Lack of urgency or continued disrespect to fix it will lead to a reset.

Academic Communication Progress Reports: A progress report that includes academic and behavioral • Parent Orientation updates as well as a brief overview of important school events goes home EVERY Friday. Scholar will be sent home for repeated infractions.

  29. Acceptable pants = grey slacks. Parent Orientation NO cargo pants, DENIM, Dickies pants, tight-stretchy fits or grey jeans.

  30. Students may wear: • 8 th grade young women may wear any nail color; not permitted in 6/7 grade. Parent Orientation • Necklaces must be tucked into shirt • Head covering may be worn for religious purposes ONLY • Young women may wear headbands and hair clips of any color in their hair • Watches/bracelets are permitted but must not be distracting • Colored hair(blues, reds, purples) not permitted

  31. Uniform for Physical Education Classes For that time, students will be required to purchase and wear the DPHM gym uniform. Parent Orientation This consists of: • DPHM PE navy blue t-shirt with a school logo– must be purchased through IDEAL (recommended to purchase 4- 5). • DPHM grey sweatpants– must be purchased through IDEAL • They must wear all black sneakers with PE uniform
