What is Presentation It is a talk, giving information about a product, a subject or an idea to a group of people to either inform them or persuade them.
Planning your Presentation Decide the subject if its not given prior to you Choose as per the occasion and the audience. Prepare the content ; its objective, purpose considering if you are to inform, persuade or report .

Steps needed for an Effective Presentation Planning Preparation Delivery
Step 1- List your objectives Why are you making this presentation What do you need to accomplish
Step 2- Focus on the audience Who are they ? Focus on what the audience wants to know and NOT-what you know. Consider the level and interest of your audience
Step 3- Determine the Message Tailor your points as per the technical level and interest of the audience. Modify presentation for each new audience.
Step 4 Practice your Presentation Rehearse in private ; you need to practice delivery of your presentation. Make notes ; jot down main points or use index cards .
Visual Aids Slides should be in right logical order Do not put too much information in one slide better make two or more. Use key words , phrases, short sentences Edit the text to avoid any errors in spelling, punctuation etc. Explain each slide to audience Do not just run from one slide to another. Design should be simple, clear and appealing
