  9. AISD Curriculum Curriculum Road Maps (CRMs) • All lessons are based on the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) – TEKS serve as a guide for what we teach – The CRMs guide the timing for when we teach each objective. • At Baranoff, we follow the CRMs ; there may be some differences in the CRM Yearly Overview and the timing we have, but we still cover everything outlined within the 9-week period.

  10. Math Curriculum • Investigations + enVision • Each lesson begins with a “hook” to connect to students’ prior knowledge, then moves into new material. • We still use a lot of hands-on manipulatives and then translate that to how it looks as written work. • This year, we focus a lot on problem-solving and using math in everyday situations. • Mastering math facts for all four operations is HIGHLY essential and will be a focus both in class and at home.

However, I must be able to see that the student has actually tried to complete the assignment.
