Band Family You DO NOT need previous music or instrument experience to be in 6 th grade band! We teach the basics! Students can be in band and participate in other community and school groups! (Sports, cheer, dance, scouts, lessons, etc.). Nearly 75% of band students participate in other activities. YOU CAN ONLY JOIN BAND IN 6 TH GRADE The music and curriculum is more challenging each year. If a student were to join in 7th grade they would be a year behind their classmates. How do you enroll in band class? A “google form” will be sent via email. Otherwise, please contact Mr. Sanders.
Knighthawk Band Expenses: 1) $30 band fee: book, t-shirt, & music. 2) Instrument purchase or rental: we assist with finding instruments! 6 th Grade after-school commitments 3-4 after school rehearsals all year Remember: Transportation conflicts, expenses, and fees will not keep your student from being in band!
