Off Roll What is it?  “Off Roll” is a time in the student’s day when they are not enrolled in a class.  Students who are passing their courses can choose up to one off roll period per trimester. ◦ 1 st Period Off Roll = Any 9 th Grade Student ◦ 5 th Period Off Roll = 9 th Grade Students who earn a 3.0 GPA or above in their previous grading period

Strategies for School Success Get to school on time everyday  Use a planner everyday & keep backpack organized  Do all class assignments to the best of your ability, study for quizzes/tests  Attend Tutorial: Mon/Wed/Thurs 3:02 – 3:32 p.m.  ◦ Ask teachers for extra help – COMMUNICATE WITH TEACHERS ◦ Work on group project or form a study group Peer opportunities  W.H.A.T. (help with writing assignments) sign up in G117  Nighthawk Tutoring, M & W 6:15-8:15 pm in Library  Check MyPlan & My Connect at least weekly  Challenge yourself but don’t take too heavy of a load and be careful not to  over-commit Take care of yourself; eat right & get enough sleep  See your school counselor 
