Class of 2023 April 13 Town Hall Meeting
GRADING ➢ Students may complete Qtr 3 missing work and reassessments up to 4/24 (end of Qtr 3) ■ Qtr 3 grade book is closed to new assignments as of 3/13 ➢ Qtr 4 has the potential to raise the final grade up to one grade distribution (B to B+) based on demonstrated proficiency of learning ➢ A student who is currently failing a class, can earn a D with proficient work over the next 8 weeks. ➢ Final grades will be the highest of the following: ■ Avg of Qtrs 1, 2 & 3 ■ Avg of Qtrs 1, 2 & 3 w/1 grade distribution increase (if applicable) ■ 1st Semester Grade ■ GPA’s will be calculated based on Final Marks

❖ How will students collaborate on STEM projects? ➢ Students will use Blackboard Collaborate, email, and phone calls to collaborate with peers during distance learning. Teachers will be making adjustments to assignments and projects as needed. Communicate with your teachers if you have specific concerns. ❖ How do you inform your teacher that you are sick or cannot attend? ➢ You can email your teacher. ❖ When will students be able to come in and pick up their P.E. uniforms and belongings?
❖ In health, we are supposed to get CPR certified this year. Since school is now out, how are we supposed to demonstrate this to our teachers when we cannot be there in person? ➢ Students will demonstrate this requirement next year. ❖ How will I get my teacher to check my work? ➢ All student assignments will be submitted online via blackboard unless your teacher advise you otherwise. Teachers will be able to review your work once they receive your submission.
