Map Skills How do we find places on maps? ◤
▪ Lines run horizontally ◤ Latitude ▪ Measured in degrees. ▪ The Equator is 0 degrees Latitude. ▪ Latitude lines are called parallels.

DAY 1- MAP SKILLS ACTIVITY: ✕ Make a map of the area surrounding your home (your neighborhood or street). Include: + A title for your map + A compass rose + Key or legend with symbols used on the map + Labels of important places on the map (at least 3) + Make it neat and colorful. Pretend someone would actually need to use it to find your home.
