Home Support (EL and MT)
Home Support • English - Encourage reading and spend time discussing what has been read. Discuss new vocabulary and reinforce grammar items that have been taught in school that are found in the text. • Mother Tongue Languages - Encourage reading , at least 10 minutes a day and spend time discussing what has been read. Expose your child to TV programmes or other media in their Mother Tongue language.

Home Support HOME SUPPORT • Mathematics – For P1 Eliasians, knowing the number bonds within 20 will ease the learning process for your child. Ensure that they commit the addition and subtraction facts within 20 to memory (by term 3). • Examples of number bonds: 2 and 8 make 10 3 and 7 make 10 Therefore 10 – 3 = 7 and 7 + 3 = 10

Home Support: E-learning E-Learning on MC Online (monthly) • Monthly MC Online assignments will be given by Subject teachers on the last Thurs of the month from Term 3 onwards. No written homework for that Thurs • Parents are to ensure that their children complete the assignments given. • Please indicate in the MTP Survey forms if your child has access to internet from home.
