A diversified portfolio incl. Integrated climate-resilient transboundary flood risk management in the Drin River basin in the Western Balkans (Albania, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro) • Implementing Entity : UNDP • Executing Entities : UNDP, GWP • Financing amount : US$ 9,927,750 • Objective : A ssist the riparian countries in the implementation of an integrated climate-resilient river basin flood risk management approach • Thematic Focal Area : Disaster risk reduction and early warning systems • Key outputs : (1) Strengthened hydrometric monitoring networks in the riparian countries; (2) Improved knowledge of CC induced flood risk and risk knowledge sharing through the introduction of river basin modelling tools and (3) Drin River Basin FRM Policy Framework and improved long-term cooperation
Integration of climate change adaptation measures in the concerted management of the WAP transboundary complex: ADAPT-WAP - Benin, Burkina Faso and Niger • Implementing Entity : Sahara and Sahel Observatory • Executing Entity : OSS • Financing amount : US$ 11,536,200 • Objective : Strengthening the resilience of ecosystems and improve populations’ livelihoods within the WAP Complex in relation with the climate change • Thematic Focal Area : Disaster risk reduction and early warning systems • Key outputs : (1) Regional adaptation action plan and the methodological guide for CC incorporation developed; (2) Master Development Plan (MDP), Development and Management Plans (DMPs) of the WAP Complex and the communal development plans (CDPs); (3) Investments in multiple sectors
