There is a direct correlation between the lack of voting and increased health disparities in the community.

  3. My Vote. My Health. Voter Outreach (Pre-COVID) Key Takeaways My Vote. My Health . to date has successfully contacted 420,882 low-propensity voters through a 5-touch non-partisan approach. Jun Primary and Nov General 2018 Elections : Saw an increase of up to 432% increase in ballots cast at the precinct level (Los Angeles). Mar Primary 2020 : Dialed and knocked on total of 546,141 low- propensity households, contacted 42,480 in the AltaMed (Los Angeles, Orange County), San Ysidro Health (San Diego), and La Clínica de La Raza (Alameda) service areas.

UCLA Analysis and Report CA Primary March 3 rd Election Results Our analysis indicates that AltaMed’s outreach efforts are very effective at mobilizing communities , and that their phone and canvassing program was very successful in mobilizing the low propensity voters they contacted. AltaMed’s work on voter engagement fills a critical gap in voter outreach that most political campaigns do not meet. AltaMed: Supporting Voters Choice Act VSAP Flex Voting, Ballot Drop Boxes During the March 3, 2020 Primary Election, AltaMed hosted VSAP Flex Voting machines at every PACE location and at Corporate where 455 voters cast their ballot; Installed a Ballot Drop off Box AltaMed Santa Ana-Main where 357 voters cast their ballots.
