  4. Fall Programs Status ○ We are committed to offering our programs in whatever fashion possible/ allowable and safe! ○ Programs will start and follow the program as scheduled. ○ Programs likely will be a combination of virtual and in person programming: RESTORE SGT ○ We will make a decision about the first class(es) 1 month before the program is scheduled to start. Once the season starts, the format is subject to change. ○ Program tuition will stay the same. ○ We are utilizing creativity and our multi-disciplinary teams to plan for an exciting educational and therapeutic theatre experience!

  7. Phase Implications for SGT SGT Programming Plan Phase 1 Strict stay at home Virtual Programming Rapid Spread Only essential ○ Program Structure: Classes are held during their normally scheduled day/ time businesses open via Zoom. Remote Learning ○ Small groups to promote individualized engagement, use break out rooms ○ Emphasis on integrity of SGT’s educational and therapeutic theatre programs ○ Educational Components: ○ Lesson plans will focus on 3 E’s: Engage, Educate, Enhance with combination of active and passive activities. ○ Visuals/ Google Slides will be used and shared. ○ Peer Mentor Components: ○ Peer mentors will be active participants in the virtual classrooms once training is completed. ○ Virtual check in meetings/ ongoing training throughout the season ○ Possible once a week facetime/ zoom 1:1 with student & peer mentor ○ Extra small groups (during regular class time) to promote socialization

  8. Phase Implications for SGT SGT Programming Plan Phase 1 Strict stay at home Virtual Programming- Continued Rapid Spread Only essential ○ Production/ Choreography: businesses open ○ Production and Choreography will “visit” the virtual classroom and lead activities Remote Learning as part of the weekly class schedule (like in person programming). ○ Consider pre-recording choreography and sharing in advance ○ Emphasize blocking motivation- who are you talking to? Why? ○ Costumes/ Set Pieces/ Props: Students will be encouraged to find costume pieces/ props from around their house (requests sent ahead of time). No SGT costume pieces/ props will be provided in this phase. ○ Performance Options: ○ Compilation of students performing at home (like MTP Friend like Me) ○ Record performance over Zoom- readers theatre style (COL Summer) ○ ABLE Ensemble for inspiration.. Narrators play a role- EX: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3w2FkjaRaVI&feature=youtu.be

  9. Phase Implications for SGT SGT Programming Plan Phase 2 Non-essential Virtual Programming- Same as Phase 1. Flattening businesses open for pick-up/ delivery ● Consider Outside Activities for socialization between students & peer mentor Outside activities (arranged by parents, only if both feel comfortable/ safe) allowed while social ● If student/ peer mentor/ parents are comfortable they may arrange to be distancing together (at home/ outside) for the virtual class. SGT will not coordinate this but Remote Learning may provide the option and contact info (if permitted/ shared) in the program Everyone wears directory masks

  10. Phase Implications for SGT SGT Programming Plan Phase 3 More businesses can ( IF PERMITTED) Combination of Virtual Programming and In Person Small Recovery re-open with Groups- rotate some participants in-person & some virtual ( limitations/ some participants may choose do all virtual/ case by case basis) capacities ex: ● Program Structure: Classes are held during their normally scheduled day/ time- outdoor classes and some students/mentors/staff will meet in person and the rest will meet via Zoom. 1:1 training ○ Virtual Program Structure for Phases 1 & 2 applies to virtual classes Gatherings of 10 and ■ Students/ peer mentor pairs may choose to participate in virtual program fewer are allowed physically together (if agreeable by both families) Remote Learning ○ In Person Programming (small groups/ 10 or fewer) Everyone wears ■ Check-in / Check-out procedures for safety of participants & staff masks/ practices ● Policies are being developed and will include CDC/ IDPH guidelines and social distancing input from school districts/ similar programs which may include: ○ Student evaluation to confirm can follow policies ○ Wellness check before coming to class ○ Temperature checks upon arrival (staff, students, mentors) ○ Everyone wears masks/ face guard/ hoodie option ○ Lots of hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes available/ used ○ Maintain 6’/ social distancing ○ No materials (pens, props) will be shared etc without sanitizing

  11. Phase Implications for SGT SGT Programming Plan Phase 3 More businesses can ■ Staffing ratio the same/ half students & mentors and staff in person Recovery re-open with ■ Determining who is in person and who is virtual limitations/ ● Policy TBD, May change from week to week capacities ex: ● Will need to coordinate with peer mentors/ peer mentor coordinator outdoor classes and ○ Educational Components 1:1 training ○ Virtual educational components for phases 1 & 2 applies to virtual classes Gatherings of 10 and ○ In Person Programming (small groups/ 10 or fewer) fewer are allowed ■ Lessons will promote engagement at a physical/ social distance Remote Learning ○ Peer Mentor Components Everyone wears ○ Virtual peer mentor components for phases 1 & 2 applies to virtual classes masks/ practices ■ If student/ peer mentor/ parents are comfortable they may arrange to be social distancing together (at home/ outside) for the virtual class. SGT will not coordinate this but may provide the option and contact info (if permitted/ shared) in the program directory ○ In Person Programming (small groups/ 10 or fewer) ■ Additional training and support to promote socialization at a social distance

  12. Phase Implications for SGT SGT Programming Plan Phase 3 More businesses can ○ Production/ Choreography Components Recovery re-open with ○ Virtual production/ choreography components for phases 1 & 2 applies to virtual limitations/ classes capacities ex: ○ In Person Programming (small groups/ 10 or fewer) outdoor classes and ■ Limited costume/ prop options provided by SGT- no sharing in this phase! 1:1 training ■ Stage blocking and dance movements take physical/ social distancing into Gatherings of 10 and account fewer are allowed ■ Consider puppet/ voice over/ narrator on screen for students who are Remote Learning unable to be in person Everyone wears ○ Performance Options: masks/ practices ○ Virtual Performance (similar to phase 1/2) social distancing ○ Vignette-Style Performance / Video approx 5 students on stage at a time… ○ Set/ Scenery/ Costume Implications

  13. Phase Implications for SGT SGT Programming Plan Phase 4 Schools Reopen In person programming resumes with safety precautions pending school/ Revitalization Gatherings of 50 or district approval fewer are allowed ● Program Structure: Classes are held during their normally scheduled day/ time- Social Distancing and maximum 50 students/ mentors/ staff on site at any time. Capacity limits must ○ In Person Programming (groups of 50 or fewer) be followed ■ Follow Check-in / Check-out procedures for safety of participants & staff (as Masks are the norm outlined in Phase 3 section) ■ Staffing: All staff are on site at all times. Additional support from ED/ POD. ■ Consider virtual options/ at home activities for students with compromised immune systems ○ Production/ Choreography Components ○ Consider puppet/ voice over/ narrator on screen for students who are unable to be in person ○ Some costumes/ props introduced in this phase, limited sharing ○ Performance Options: ○ Full performance with virtual audience- ie facebook live, or recording

  14. Phase Implications for SGT SGT Programming Plan Phase 5 Large events are SGT classes and performances operate like “normal” with new safety Illinois permitted procedures in place (sanitizing, limiting unnecessary contact, etc/ TBD). Restored “New/ Next Normal”
