  3.  Some of the suggestions and comments we’ve been able to address: ◦ Integrate Recycling Report and the SWIA Report ◦ Added fields to capture recycling info from SW facilities

  4.  News Feeds on DEQ website specific to solid waste. These will serve as the primary means of notifying stakeholders of new information and the opportunity to comment on Draft Guidance . They are up and running and can be found here: ◦ http://www.deq.virginia.gov/ConnectWithDEQ/New sFeeds.aspx ◦ Solid Waste Program Updates ◦ Tire Program – End User Reimbursement Regulations comment period: May 2- May 13th

  5.  Listening sessions are planned with SWPUs  June: Northern Shenandoah Planning ◦ Discussions will target issues brought up at Stakeholders Conference ◦ Regulations will be amended after completing the listening sessions

  6.  Waste Tire End User Reimbursement Regulations comment period: May 2 – 13th ◦ Chapter 150 (9VAC-20-150) ◦ Definitions ◦ Consistent with VSWMR

  7.  Authorized by §58.1-439.7 of the Code of Virginia  Tax credit extended till January 1, 2020 (expired January 1, 2015)  Corporations shall be allowed a credit against the state income tax in an amount equal to 20% of the capitalized cost of machinery and equipment used for recycling

  8.  Taxation deadline May 1, 2016  Applicants shall file Form RMP by May 1, 2016 with Taxation  Form RMP filers will be notified of the allowable credit by June 30. Since the due date for individual income tax returns is May 1, most claimants will need to file the tax return on extension or amend the original return to claim the credit .
