Benefits of Becoming a Leadership Community • Coordinated strategic planning • New streamlined structures and processes • Dedicated full-time staffing • Networking among partners, creating collaborative rather than competitive efforts • Example: New employability skills curriculum available through Heartland Community College to all partners • Access to grant opportunities and technical assistance through NIU’s EdSystems Center • Learning from other Leadership Communities
