Eleven (11) members from the :  Department of National Planning and Monitoring,  Department of Treasury, Department of Justice and Attorney General,  Department of Foreign Affairs, PNG Customs Service,  National Agriculture and Quarantine Inspection Authority (NAQIA),  Department of Prime Minister and National Executive Council (PM’s & NEC),  the Business Council PNG that represents the private sector, and  the National Institute of Standards and Industrial Technology (NISIT)

  12.  Importantly the biggest challenges faced now and in the future are maximising trader’s compliance whilst facilitating legitimate trade.

  13.  Continues improvements on areas of immediate commitments pertaining to Category A pending the Agreement to be in force, thus PNG ratifying to the Agreement.  PNGCS will work on the more targeted and risk based assessment to which has already commenced with the development of a Compliance Assurance Strategy.  PNG Customs is currently working on having a trusted trader’s program me policy which will hopefully be rolled out in the near future which would help assist Customs interventions.
