  43. AIR QUALITY REPORTING 43

  44. Air Quality Monitor Exceedances • Heathwall Monitor Locations 44

  45. Air Quality Monitor Exceedances • Kirtling Monitor Locations 45

  46. Air Quality Monitor Exceedances - Heathwall • None Air Quality Monitor Exceedances - Kirtling • 23/02/18 & 14/04/18 - Caused by number of large items of plant on site restricting access for our Roadsweeper. Damping down is also carried out. • 21/04/18 - Exceedance caused by timber works underneath dust monitor to provide formwork/shuttering for a concrete slab pour. 46

  47. NOISE REPORTING 47

  48. Noise Monitor Exceedances • Heathwall Monitor Locations 48

  49. Noise Monitoring Exceedances • Monitor Locations 49

  50. Noise Monitoring Exceedances - Heathwall • None Noise Monitoring Exceedances - Kirtling • 02/06/2018 @ 19:00 & 07/02/2018 @ 19:45 - Movement of the SPMTs (Self Propelled Mobile Transports) carrying TBMs. On both occasions the SPMTs have been required to remain active in the area in front of the noise monitor 50

  53. Community Survey • 0.5% surveys were returned • 64% of respondents felt we were performing better or as expected than their expectations. 24% who felt it was worse than expected. • 40% felt that the site and contractors had been considerate, whilst 28% felt that we had not been considerate with 24% being undecided • 44% of respondents either agreed or strongly agreed that they thought we were being considerate neighbours during the construction process, with 24% disagreeing • 93% of respondents who had received information about our site and activities found it either ‘very useful’ or ‘fairly useful’ 53

  54. Community Survey Doing well Communication Keeping noise to a minimum Communication and tidiness Things are better now, less traffic coming down Kirtling Street so thank you for improving that Minimising disruption Updates Communication is excellent. Site traffic is managed well 54

  55. Community Survey Room for improvement Changes made Digging earth at 3am in the morning. It keeps me awake. I thought Several changes made to the barge loading operation (as there was a 10pm cut off time discussed) Noise, especially during the night Night noise due to barge loading operations considerably reduced following mitigation measures Bus stop cleanliness Dedicated road sweepers clean every day Stop the noise at night after 11pm Changes made, as above Not enough information to put forward a view Proposal to change survey to capture distance from site. Info Sheets hand delivered to wider radius The construction level of noise across the water is unacceptable. Concerns from north of the river due to barge loading operations, mitigated as discussed The roads around the site are dusty and feel unsafe with the amount of Strict logistics procedure limiting delivery times, numbers, no HGVs, but I realise these are also from other sites nearby. Would like idling, vehicle routes etc more communications. Struggle in to cope with upwards light pollution. Security lighting needs Security continue to implement blackout blinds on evening to be downwards only and we have been promised hoods for the strip shifts and angle lights downward lights and trialled various blackout blinds but don’t solve the issue Working to a tighter, definite schedule Follow schedule as tightly as possible more communications with upcoming works and progress Parking. Workers who are waiting to be picked up and leave a lot of Site workers know not to wait or idle. Travel survey rubbish around where they are waiting undertaken, share results next session The main thing is the noise from the rubble landing as it drops from the Potentially work from another site OR barge loading operation conveyor belt on to the barge which was mitigated 55
