  2. BIM Cloud Worksharing for Integrated Project Delivery: BIM Integration with IoT sensors W hile building information modeling (BIM) is widely embraced by the architectural, engineering and construction (AEC) industry, BIM adoption in facilities management (FM) is still relatively new and limited. BIM deliverables from design and construction generally do not fulfill FM needs unless they are clearly specified and carefully managed..

  3. BIM Cloud Worksharing for Integrated Project Delivery: BIM Integration with IoT sensors Bi-Directional Transfer of Meta Data via API Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Oracle Financials, SAP R/3, NetSuite, IFS, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, etc. Building Information Model (BIM) Geographical Information Autodesk Revit, Bentley AECOsim, System (GIS) Graphisoft ArchiCAD, Tekla, IFCs ESRI ArcGIS, Google Maps , Oracle Spatial Space Management Project Management (PM) (CAFM/IWMS) Oracle Unifier, Procore, PMWeb Oracle Unifier, TRIRIGA, ARCHIBUS, Planon, Manhattan, etc. Aconex, Prolog, e-Builder, etc. Building Automation System Maintenance Management (BAS) (CMMS) Honeywell EBI, Siemens Apogee, IBM Maximo, Oracle Unifier FMRE, Schneider Electric StruxureWare, FSI, TMA, AssetWorks, Anacle, etc. OPC, BACnet, etc. Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) Documentum, Alfresco, Lascom, Autodesk A360, Aconex, ProjectWise, etc.

  23. BIM Cloud Worksharing for Integrated Project Delivery: BIM Integration with IoT sensors T he Facilities Group responsible for the (HHMI) expects any BIM platform to provide value in operations and maintenance. Their BIM vision goes beyond transferring BIM data to computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) and integrated workplace management system (IWMS) platforms. Instead, (HHMI) creates and maintains FM-capable BIM, utilizes the models to solve operational challenges and improves safety and efficiency in various ways, including engineering analysis for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical and plumbing; building automation systems (BAS) analysis; operational impact analysis; and BIM-aided operation safety. Grace Wang, Mark Philip and Mark McKinley

  24. BIM Cloud Worksharing for Integrated Project Delivery: BIM Integration with IoT sensors Driven by its BIM vision, the Facilities Group maintains a BIM strategic planning process to prioritize organizational goals and establish BIM objectives for planning, design, construction and operation. This detailed planning process helps the Group achieve improved clarity of key BIM competencies and priorities. Janelia developed a BIM roadmap with actionable tasks and defined milestones. The Facilities Group is working on a Construction Operations Building information exchange (COBie)-based BIM and CMMS integration, as well as utilizing BIM for space management. The Group also is exploring shutdown scheduling via 4D simulation of shutdown impacts on related systems, asset management integration to enable asset allocation and tracking and visualization of condition assessment information.
