Resource Description Team will go through records to move binding information, if listed, from 500 Field to 563 Field. If not listed will indicate on sheet and gather information to add. From 12/2017 all artists’ books entered into collection will have 563 Field. Benefit is that patrons will be able to search for specific binding types more easily. If there is time and information is available will add 386 Field. Folder for Binding information 563 Binding Information Artists’ Books List Process: ● Spreadsheet run of artists’ books in catalog - complete 12/2017 ks ● Need to establish controlled vocabulary of binding terms. ​ RBMS ​ and ​ Getty AAT ​ have them. Use ​ Art’s document ​ and ​ ARLIS artists’ book thesaurus ● Starting in January 2018 resource description team will begin project. Expected completion is end of March 2018.
