Today, when back to the day to day tasks, I realized one of the things I enjoy most about Book Scan. It is such a delight to hold a brand new book, smelling of new paper and glue, not yet touched by a child's hand. So different from the veteran books of this library that have ventured on countless journeys through school desks and book bags smudged with crayons, fruit roll-ups, cookie crumbs and half sipped juice boxes. So unlike the devoted picture book that has slept with the dog or made a perch for the family cat. Or the loaner, frightened and lost, under the bed smothered by dust bunnies, stuck to half eaten tootsie pops and surrounded by ninja soldiers, headless Barbies and busted Lego blocks. So until the next Bookscan I will keep waiting, hand sanitizer in supply and clorox wipes by my side. Media Assistant Clearview Schools
