CEED Objectives and Goals Ø Increase the diversity of students who apply to, enroll, and graduate from the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech Ø Increase the awareness that engineering and other technical fields are exciting and rewarding career paths Ø Provide academic, professional and personal support to students Support student organizations that support our mission, including the National Ø Society of Black Engineers , the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers , the Society of Women Engineers , and Council for the Advancement of Minority Engineering Organizations Ø Foster collaboration between the CEED, the University, industry, and the local community.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE Ø Ten-Week Mentoring Program Ø One Weekly Mentee-Mentor Meeting Ø Two FREE Meals & Three Large CEED Sponsored Events Ø Average of Eight Mentees per Mentor Ø Small Groups – Allowing Students to Bond and Make Lifelong Friendships Ø Paired With a Mentor of Your Intended Major and Similar Interests
