Planning “ When planning, teachers need to nail down what to leave out as much as what to keep in. This way they will have far more time to teach deeply and comprehensively” “As teachers become more intentional about the decisions they make about what to teach, the quality of their teaching improves.”
Rigour of Planning 1. Deliberate continuous planning 2. Focus on the ‘ questions ’ not the tasks (Key goals for each lesson) 3. Plan the flow of the lesson- expert input, thinking time, independent time. 4. Plan collaboratively- time allocated every week 5. Plan in your feedback
