The challenge • Capacity The waiting area [at the Lister] is too small and it’s getting worse. There are a lot more people there. There’s always a few people standing. I’m usually there two or three hours in total. They need more space – it’s too cramped. Tracey, 38, breast cancer
The challenge • Unsuitable facilities When you’re on the [chemo] machine, you have to go through the seating area where all the people are, go round them where they’re sitting, so everyone’s watching you go to the toilet, and when you open the toilet door, there’s about ten people looking in. Emmanuel, 62, bowel cancer
The challenge I think for the staff it’s going to make a bigger difference as well. I feel lucky that I’m being looked after and the treatment I get, someone knows that’s best for me. Graham, 65, colon cancer • Services and facilities don’t join up
