Create an individual project website Set up a project website using a Google site, and add three menus - Introduce yourself - #I1 Project proposal: description of your problem statement - #2 Data collection plan: Interview scripts and a list of survey questions q Note that this website will be a repository of your individual project deliveries, as well as a final submission at the end of the class. q Remember that you are taking an HCI course. You need to pay attention to the usability of your individual project website, too.
Individual project: Collecting Data Collect interview data from 2 potential users (other than yourself or team members!) and collect survey data from 10+ potential users. Submit the collected data. Individual project: Collecting Data Rubric Interview scripts (7pt) • o -2pt per missing one interview (2 in total) o You will lose significant points if there are not enough impromptu "follow-up" questions to follow up with an interviewee's answer (e.g., what/why/how questions) (3pt) Survey data (3pt) • You will lose 50% if your submission does not follow the format • You will lose 20% if it’s a late submission (Not accepting a late submission after 24 hrs) • Due by Midnight 10/16 #Disclaimer. The context within which the problem exists (e.g., location/place, population/ target users, etc.) 3. Why a smartwatch is a proper platform (instead of or coupled with a smartphone) to solve the problem? Provide constructive FEEDBACK!!! 1. Provide your opinion about the overall project idea 2. Criticize if the problem is important and feasible to solve. 3. Criticize if a smartwatch is a proper platform given its characteristics (not only the benefits but also disadvantages – small screen, difficulty in text entry, etc.) 4. Suggest ways to strengthen/improve the project idea
