What is FBI Data? FBI Criminal Justice Information  “CJI” is the term covering the five categories of FBI-provided criminal justice information data necessary for law enforcement and civil agencies to perform their missions:  Biometric Data  Identity History Data  Biographic Data  Property Data  Case/Incident History  Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) is a subset of CJI sometimes referred to as “restricted data”  CHRI requires additional security measures 4

What is FBI Data? Situational – One Definitely FBI Definitely Not Becoming The Data FBI Data Other - An out-of-state - An in-state arrest - An in-state arrest arrest record record to which an record that is not FBI ID number has attached to, or - Information been attached combined with, sourced from a becomes FBI data. information on out- request to the FBI of-state arrests or - The same record FBI-sourced - An in-state arrest with the FBI ID information record to which FBI number stripped off information is not FBI data - FBI ID or (Example: transaction subject’s FBI ID numbers by number) has been themselves added 5
