During the preparation of the law, the provisions of the UNCITRAL Model Law on public procurement have been taken into account. The national legislation on public procurement was harmonised with the provisions of the procurement procedure Regulation Protocol to the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty. The authorized state body for state procurement is the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the Republic of Belarus.

The new version of the Law “On State Procurement of Goods (Work, Services)” is being adopted by the Parliament.
