Historical Perspective • The only membership association dialed in exclusively on the needs of SORHs • Thank you to FORHP for their tremendous support • Additional revenue streams outside FORHP to diversify activity types • Began 20 years ago, with first full time staff 10 years ago (Teryl and Donna)

  3. Strategic Priorities • Increase and diversity funding for NOSORH strategic priorities and to support SORH. • Increase SORH capacity to support, strengthen and sustain rural health clinics. • Provide TA to SORHs experiencing operational and leadership challenges. • Monitor, educate and provide resources for NOSORH, SORH, FORHP and policy makers on emerging issues that impact rural health. • Increase the impact of Power of Rural and National Rural Health Day to grow the visibility of SORH and rural community successes. • Increase and diversity funding for SORHs by 50% increase in SORH line to $15 million and renew program reauthorization. • Build the capacity of SORHs through strategic education and mentoring.

How we accomplish strategic goals? • Cooperative Agreement, Contracts, Membership Dues, Sponsorships (Development Committee) • RHC Institute, toolkits, webinars (RHC Committee) • Development of task force and mentorship programs • Harvey, PPMT, Policy review, comments to CMS, Hall Render (PPMT and Policy Committees) • New PR firm, continued expansion of NRHD activities (webinars, etc.), inclusion of Hall Render firm (Communications Committee) • Reauthorization act, appropriations and other Congressional committees (Policy Committee) • Webinars, Meetings, Fact sheets, Learning Collaborative calls, Travel Scholarships, upcoming SORH Proficiencies and Mentoring program (Educational Exchange Committee primary)
