Fact Sheet: Date: July 4, 2009 Location: Ventura College Athletic Field Background: The Rotary Club of Ventura has produced this community event since 1994 as a way to allow neighbors to come together in the spirit of community and celebration. Our motto in Rotary is “Service Above Self” and this project exemplifies that spirit. Rotarians and community members work together to bring a safe and fun festival to Ventura to celebrate the Fourth of July with family fun, food, entertainment and, of course, FIREWORKS. Benefactors: Funds raised from the Fourth of July Celebration benefit the Ventura College Promise, as well as projects of the Rotary Club of Ventura like dictionary distribution, Coats for Kids, Senior BBQs, School Backpacks for Kids, and many more.
