SCOPE ➤ Pembroke Rd from Dykes Rd to Silver Shores Blvd Roadway reconstruction and widening • Two 11-foot lanes in each direction • New median • Four-foot bike lanes • Six-foot sidewalk with new bus stop pads • Drainage and lighting improvements • Signalization upgrades at Pembroke Road and Dykes Road • Perimeter walls on each side of roadway • School zone safety improvements with overhead flashing beacon •
PROJECT CHALLENGES ➤ Subsoil Excavation • Hold a pre-activity meeting to establish contractor’s survey methods • Material will be investigated to ensure no contamination is encountered • Check Contractor’s payments Station & offsets cross sections with truck measured calculations • When water main and force main are exposed: Notify utilities in advance of operations Ensure proper equipment is on site to support utilities if needed
