Regional Alliance for Resilient and Equitable Transportation (RARET)
RARET Background The RARET workgroup is composed of emergency managers, • transportation providers human service agencies, and community advocates in Snohomish, King, and Pierce Counties • The focus is how to increase critical transportation services for populations with access and functional needs including older adults, people with disabilities, English-language learners, and others in the event of an emergency More information can be found on our webpage at: • https://www.kcmobility.org/raret
Discussion: COVID-19 Intended outcomes : 1. Increase situational awareness by hearing updates from partners about COVID-19 impacts 2. Gather ideas for how RARET can support without duplicating efforts 3. Receive feedback about weekly transportation impact summaries
COVID-19: What is RARET currently doing? Gathering information to increase situational awareness Tracking transportation providers’ level of operations including their ability to support with access to food, healthcare, and transporting COVID positive patients on a weekly basis Weekly transportation impact summaries to highlight the level of operations for transportation providers and community resources March newsletter featured resources about COVID-19 and call to action for partners share how RARET can support without duplicating efforts Send post-event survey to providers to assess impacts Complete after-action report
