How to Apply Please note that there will be an administrative fee charge. Once paid it is non-refundable. Following documents must be submitted to SIMConnect: SIMConnect> Self-Service> Global Learning> Study Abroad 1. Scanned copy of your passport ID page 2. Your latest academic transcript (1st year students may submit their JC/Polytechnic/High School or Diploma transcript) 3. Completed Contract & Indemnity Form – Link 1 4. Completed SIM-PU Indemnity Form (If Applicable) – Link2 Normal applicants: 4 documents in total To apply for the scholarship, you will need to submit 2 additional documents: 5. Resume 6. Completed Scholarship Essay – Link3 Scholarship application deadline will be on 31 January 2020 Recommendation letters are not needed and will not be taken into consideration Resume and Scholarship application essay to submit at abroad@sim.edu.sg
Visa Requirements – United Kingdom Singaporeans/Malaysians Others Stamped as Student Visitor at airport Apply for a Student Visa before departure Check https://www.gov.uk/study-visit-visa on how Bring documents with you to apply for your visa. • Admission/Offer Letter from the Summer Proceed with visa application immediately after School confirmation of placement by Summer School • Accommodation – Address, Confirmation & Invoice • Proof you have enough money for your stay (e.g. bank statement with your name) • Proof of your intention to leave the UK (e.g. flight ticket) within 6 months of the date of entry * Your passport might be retained by the Embassy as part of the application process.

2020 Programme Overview Over 100 courses in three sessions over a nine week period S Subject areas 2 Accounting Business and Management Economics Research Methods, Data Science and Mathematics Finance International Relations, Government and Society Law Additional new courses will be announced in early December
Learning Experience 155 full-time LSE academics teach on Summer School Opportunity to learn through class participation with global peers S 2 Learning through exploration of real world case studies Business and Management – highly interactive Economics – application of up-to-date analytical tools Finance – practical application of state-of-the art financial models and tools Accounting – theory applied in practice
Course Structure All courses are designed and delivered by LSE faculty Minimum of 54 contact hours – equivalent to a term’s worth of study S 2 Daily 3-hour lectures Daily 90 minute classes/seminars Typically 20 students per class/seminar Formative assessment – typically within the first week Summative assessment – exam, essay or group project including the final exam on the last Friday of the course
Extracurricular Learning Public lecture series – global leaders of business, finance, government and academia Sessions planned for 2020 include: Sessions with LSE innovations hub Career preparation workshops – managing interview anxiety, CV writing, emotional intelligence Skills for 21 st Century – app building and coding workshops Talks from former Summer School students on their paths from study to career success

Entry Requirements 100 level courses – minimum entry requirement is university offer 200 – 300 level courses – university transcript showing prerequisites Grades of B+ or higher GPA 3.3 English entry requirements: Studied degree in English, or IELTs 7 (all areas) or equivalent
Application Process Applications open at the end of November 2019 Applications assessed within two weeks of arriving at LSE Minimal pre-course preparation Office support available throughout the application process, from 9.30am - 5.30pm GMT by phone or via email
