Seniors Program Background: Continuing Seniors’ Program Expanding Directory 2017 Expanding Seniors Initiatives, e.g. Buddy system, seniors helping seniors, neighborhood watch Received NHSP Grant (reduce isolation/loneliness) Coordination Committee + Action Teams A series of Seniors Programs + Seniors Directory 2016 Website + Event Calendar Event management + Communications + Paypal Applied for an NHSP Grant for Seniors 2015 Objective: Support inclusion and participation of seniors Launched Seniors Weekly gatherings First, started in Merivale area 2012 Created a Seniors mailing List Started weekly mailings Then, launched another group in Orleans Initiated 2011 Focus Group Identified seniors’ pain

Program was opened to all seniors across Ottawa Seniors Program Success Collaboration & Programs well received: • Over 300 seniors in Directory Partnerships: Measures • Events were overbooked • Ottawa Seniors association • Max turnout 180 in Mar 5 event • Kanata Seniors Association • Great feedback from Seniors • Deshantari of Ottawa • Festival of India
