New Hires Earn while they Learn The employer provides training for the skills essential to the job Employer receives a 50% wage reimbursement for training hours during a specified time Number of training hours is determined for each hire based on education and experience 10
Hourly or salary positions paying the equivalent of $10.00 per hour or more New Hires must meet the program eligibility and not be a current employee of your company Job Orders must be in Indiana Career Connect 11
Third party agreements are available The contract is with the employer and the staffing company The staffing company is the employer of record for payroll Your company is the source of funds and receives the reimbursement of training wages, not the administrative cost of a staffing company 12

Master Agreement ◦ O’NET/DOT - Specific Vocational Preparation (SVP) determines maximum hours ◦ Employer and Staff develop training plan (Training, Instructor, Methods) ◦ Job Order entered in Indiana Career Connect 14
Recruitment and Selection ◦ WorkOne refers pre-screened and pre- qualified OJT candidates to the employer ◦ WorkOne can assist with additional recruitment and referral of candidates ◦ If selected candidates are not pre-qualified, employer may refer to WorkOne for OJT eligibility ◦ Employer makes hiring decision 15
Participant Contract ◦ WorkOne assesses the new hires previous education and experience against the training plan ◦ WorkOne determines the number of training hours to reimburse for each training participant ◦ Participant contract is executed with the new hire and becomes a part of the Master Agreement 16
Reimbursement ◦ Employer documents training hours ◦ Submits invoice with a copy of time card to Interlocal Association for training reimbursement payment. 17
