  9. DORMITORY Rooms cater for between 4 and 10 children. Groups comprise of a mix of children from across the year group.

  14. SAFETY and SECURITY Joseph Allnatt Centres Ltd - Teaching children outdoors since 1924 Entrances to the buildings have Door Codes. Centre Orientation on the first day. Duty Manager available and our staff on site 24 hours a day during the visit. Tutors enhanced DBS checked and fully trained in the running of sessions and all aspects of a residential trip. Conform to national standards and British Activity Providers Association (BAPA) guidelines. Risk Assessments and Operating Procedures in place and reviewed annually. The ratio of adult to child is 1:10 ( HCC’s recommendation is 1 to 10 ) All dietary and medical needs can be catered for.

Here are some essentials needed for the residential. • Waterproof Coat • 2 pairs of Trainers • Trousers • T-shirts • Warm jumpers • Night Clothes and Teddy Bear • Swimming Costume and towel • Wash things • Sun cream • Sun Hat or Woolly Hat depending on the weather • Torch • Water bottle

Your Child’s Safety  Members of teaching staff accompanying the children all hold Open Country Leadership Qualifications  Most teachers are experienced with residentials  The ferry company will provide an area on the ferry for our school party and we will travel to East Dene by coach  Hampshire’s public liability insurance covers every aspect of the trip  We will take excellent care of your children

What Happens Now?  The cost of the visit will be £215  A letter will be coming home over the next few weeks which needs to be returned with a £50 deposit if you wish your child to take part this year  The deposit needs to be paid by December as a final number has to be given to East Dene  Payments can be spread between January and the end of March. We also offer flexible payment options via the on-line payment facility; details will be included in the letter.  All staff will be briefed on group needs  A timetable and further details (kit list etc) will be provided during the Spring Term
