Vancleave Transportation Bus Driver  Description of Events:  The driver was attempting to set the parking brake, brake “felt” tighter than normal, and the driver applied more force than normal and strained left arm and elbow.  Recommendation:  If the problem reoccurs, call for assistance.

Vancleave Transportation Bus Driver  Description of Events:  The driver was turned to get out of the driver’s seat, hit their knee on the door release handle.  Recommendation:  Make sure there is enough distance between you and all hazards for you to safely get in and out of the driver’s seat without injuring yourself.

Vancleave Transportation Bus Driver Aide  Description of Events:  The employee was assisting a student on the bus and another student threw a shoe at the aide and hit her in the head.  Recommendation:  There is no recommendation for this incident. Children that are special needs are prone to impulsive behavior such as this.
