  2. Background  SaDIP Authorization : Section 4128 of the SAFETEA-LU (Public Law 109-59)  80% Federally Funded 20% State Funded  Discretionary Program  Eligible Applicants  All 50 States and, – D.C. – U.S. Territories

  3. SaDIP Grant Program  2006 – $2 Million – 10 States – AL, AK, DC, ID, KS, ME, MA, MS, NH, RI  2007 – $3 Million – 12 States – AZ, CA, IN, KS, LA, ME, MD, NC, NJ, OK, RI, WA  2008 – $3 Million – 14 States – AL, AZ, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, MA, MI, NC, NM, NV, TN, VA

Current SaDIP Grant Projects  Hire staff to manage data quality improvement projects  Revise outdated crash report forms  Hire staff to code and enter accident data  Train law enforcement in collecting accident data  Develop software to transfer data  Purchase equipment to support DQ activities  Purchase software for data collection and data transfer

SaDIP Proposal Requirements  An Identified Lead Agency  Project Objective & Implementation Plan  Project Timeline and Milestones  Statement regarding Agency’s awareness of SSDQ Performance Measures and willingness to address any deficiencies  Project Budget  Plan to deliver Quarterly Reports  Proposal should be valid until date of Award
