IOM and Resettlement - Canada IOM supports Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) in: • File processing • Health assessment • Needs assessments, cultural and medical profiles • Pre-departure orientation • Movement/travel operations The nature of IOM services depends on various factors, such as the location of refugees, IOM’s capabilities, IRCC’s requirements and conditions in host countries

  8. IOM Ottawa IOM Ottawa office opened in 1999. It provides program support and liaison for two activities: • Resettlement Operations and Movements • Canadian Orientation Abroad Works closely with IRCC, SPOs and SAHs Supports IOM offices abroad in understanding program guidelines Assists IOM offices in implementing program requirements
