Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Traumatic spinal cord injury is perhaps the most devastating orthopedic injury and with prolonged survival being the rule, rehabilitation of these injuries has an increasingly important role. The primary goals of rehabilitation are prevention of secondary complications, maximization of physical functioning, and reintegration into the community.
History of rehab in RM At the initiative of Dr. Oleg Pascal in 1993 a group of medical workers went to the UK, they made courses in neurorehabilitation. In 1994 at the Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery was opened neurorehabilitation center with 30 beds. Here are treated patients with the consequences of stroke and VMT. From the beginning the center did not have necessary equipment , but along the way they did by herself with the help of specialists in engineering.
at the moment Dr. Oleg Pascal opened a new private rehabilitation center Neokinetika. There is also another rehabilitation center in Orhei but to our great joy Cimislia center is the best equipped center.
