Wh What at is is PL PLAR AR?  Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR)  PLAR refers to the systematic ASSESSMENT of….  Formal learning (credit coursework NOT transferred)  Non-formal learning (non-credit courses)  Informal learning (learning outside classrooms)  TO BE RECOGNIZED for (i.e., in lieu of) the following  credit (post-secondary)  credentialing (workplace)

  17. Adult Education & Workplace Training Cer ertif tificat icate (AEWTC)? This certificate is designed for students who wish to gain a credential in Adult Education other than a 4-year degree.

  18. AEWTC Courses The FOUR (3-credit) AEWT certificate courses are:  ADED 320 Adult Learning  ADED 340 Program Planning and Evaluation  ADED 407 Organizational & Workplace Learning  ADED 408 Assessing Adult Learning

  19. On Completing the Certificate All four courses are part of the UFV degree in Adult Education and your courses will transfer to the degree should you wish to pursue the degree at a later date.

  23. What are the Entrance Requirements General requirements  1. Applicants must have completed the equivalent of Canadian Grade 12 for admission to all academic programs.  2. English language proficiency requirements  Students already enrolled at UFV are only required to meet the course prerequisites.

  24. Fees The courses follow UFV ’ s fee schedule currently set at $433.53 for a 3 credit course . Books and materials are extra.
