Central Beach District - Parking Management Plan • Residential Permit Parking Program – Reassess the Residential Permit Parking Program • Conduct engineering study to determine appropriate regulation hours • 24-hour RPP - Should it be implemented? – Additional recommendations are offered • Install clear, identifiable on-street parking regulation signs • Stripe and number on-street parking spaces within the RPP “hot spots” • Reassess and increase parking citation penalties
Central Beach District - Parking Management Plan • Residential Permit Parking Program – Employee Permits • Cap the number of permits issued based on number of employees • Reduce number of permits issued as new parking opportunities are created • Assign areas for on-street parking for employee parking • Assign zonal boundaries to the permits that correlate to the location of the business • Identify additional parking locations for employee parking (public and private participation) • Businesses submit an employee parking plan to the City • Increase the cost of permit fees • Rates in City lots/garages should not be lower than market rates
