  2. Puck comparison Puck XT Previous Puck • 16mm Ø 15mm deep • 18mm Ø 15mm deep • IP66 • IP66 • IK10 • IK10 18mmØ • For curved & flat rails • For curved & flat rails • 5 Distributions achieved with reflector • 5 Distributions achieved with lens • 5 bodies for the 5 distributions • 2 Bodies and 2 optics • Symmetric version usually at 30 o can cause glare • Symmetric version can be under rail reducing glare • Asymmetric version for under rail not efficient • Asymmetric version for under rail very efficient • Greater spacings for same light level • 88 Llm/W • 124 Llm/W • ~30% less power • 3000 & 4000K • 3000 & 4000K

  3. Puck XT Design • Goal was to improve on what is a great product • Increase efficiency • Improve Glare • Reduce the number of parts to create the same range • Potential to use the product other than in handrails

  4. Puck XT Design

  5. Puck XT Alignment • A new insertion tool has been developed which makes it easy to install the new Puck and allows the installer to know where to position it so that the beam is in the correct direction. • This is achieved by missing one of the holes & pins in the new tool • The pins are smaller than the old Puck making it far more difficult to remove without the proper tool – increased vandal resistance.

  6. Puck XT benefit over Puck 1 • Previous puck was positioned at 30 o to achieve good spread of light • This meant that the light source was seen and could be viewed as glare • Puck XT can be positioned at the bottom of the rail and still achieve the same lighting results without glare

  15. Puck XT Collar • We have been asked in the past to use the Puck in canopies and in situations where the back is exposed. • It was not easy to double insulate the 2 wires • A collar has been developed as an accessory that screws into the rear of the Puck XT housing allowing a heat shrink sleeve to be applied
